The Shamrock Charity Golf Classic played at the LOW golf club on April 21 was a tremendous success. Seventy-six (76) golfers enjoyed the best spring day of the year playing a fun-filled Captain’s Choice tournament. The winning foursome pictured above included Tony and Joe Hooper with Winn and Lou Ann Carithers. Each won a beautiful Waterford Crystal Golf Club Head. Pat Shrader and Gene McKenna won closest to the pin, while Lou Ann Carithers and Doug Cross won closest to the line honors. They were presented with an Irish Crystal Shamrock. About 30 donated raffle prizes, Krispy Kreme donuts, and the Outback Steakhouse meal added to the festivities. The tournament was sponsored by the General Thomas F. Meagher Division, Ancient Order of Hibernians in America. We sincerely thank Rea Hargraves, PGA, for the great support given to the tourney organizers and for adding to the fun by offering his drives off the first tee. All proceeds
