March is Irish-American Heritage Month. Sláinte!

Since 1990, all U.S. Presidents have designated the month of March as Irish-American Heritage Month. Continuing that tradition at the state level, the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia has once again proclaimed that March is Irish-American Heritage Month. His proclamation can be seen HERE.

To help celebrate and share some of our Irish heritage, members of the General Thomas F. Meagher Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians will be at Central Rappahannock Regional Library locations during the month of March to share information about Ireland and Irish-Americans who have made significant impacts to the United States of America. They will be at the Salem Church Library on 05-07 March from 2:00 to 5:00, the Downtown Library on 12-14 Mar from 2:00 to 5:00, and the Howell Library on 19-21 March from 2:00 to 5:00.
